I am really coming to love bromeliads; wind-resistant, easy care, beautiful habit, etc. 

Bromeliad Aechmea 'Dean' with chair for scale. 

Aechmea 'Zebrina Surprise' maybe too much sun in this spot. I'll try the potted pup inside.
